-  PUBLIC WASTE OIL TANKS AT TR PARK.  Bring your old waste MOTOR OIL for proper disposal.  Please note that the tanks are for waste MOTOR OIL only (NOT for antifreeze, vegetable oil, etc.).  The tanks are located at the TR Park boat basin / marina.  
-  PROPERLY DISPOSE OF UNWANTED MEDICATIONS.  Please don't flush them or pour them down the drain.  Instead, 1) return to collection events OR 2) mix with something undesirable such as coffee grounds, cat litter, or dirt; tape up containers; and toss in garbage.  For more information, visit www.dontflushyourdrugs.net. 

-  OLD FLUORESCENT LIGHT BULBS (THE TWISTY ONES!)?  Drop them off at any Home Depot for proper disposal (they contain small amounts of mercury that should not be deposited into regular garbage pick-up).  Changing over to these bulbs will reduce your electricity use at home and the office, and will prevent greenhouse gas emissions that lead to global climate change.  Lighting accounts for close to 20% of the average home's electric bill.  Qualified (Energy Star) fluorescent bulbs use up to 75% less energy (electricity) than traditional incandescent bulbs, last up to 10 times longer, cost little up front, and provide a quick return on investment.  Please try to do your part.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
