The Oyster Bay Civic Association is a non-profit, non-partisan , non-sectarian
organization whose purpose is to:
develop, encourage, and foster in the communityattitudes and practices in conformity with the basic concepts of justice and equality of opportunity which will maintain the social and civic status or our community at an acceptable level.
develop, encourage, and foster these objectives in the community among persons regardless of race or creed, who intend to become good neighbors and responsible members of the community.
play a vital part by appropriate action as members of of the community in creating discussion and solution of problems which affect our community.
cooperate with religious, civic, political, business, and other community organizations seeking to maintain the standards of the community on a high level.
secure intelligent action on the parts of its boards and communities in the accomplishment of its general purpose.
General meetings are held every other month beginning in January
with special meetings called on alternate months as deemed necessary
by the Board of Directors. All meetings are announced approximately
one week in advance by mailing to all paid-up members. Meetings are
held at the Italian American Citizens Club, 48 Summit Street, Oyster Bay.
The next general meeting will be held on Thursday July 20, 2012
A series of changes to the by-laws have been presented and
will be discussed on-going basis throughout this year.

The most recent general meetings were held and were the first of
several introducing the membership to the variety of charitable, social
organizations serving the hamlet. Our guests were the Youth
& Family Counceling Center, Centro Cultural Hispano, Boys & Girls Club,
the 2nd Precinct, and the Doubleday Babcock Senior Citizens Center.
